Frequently Asked Questions
How much does window cleaning cost?
A: Every house, and commercial building has a different number of windows, and challenges. It also depends on what all you need cleaned. Do you want inside + outside + screens + tracks? It will typically be around $20-$25 per window for everything and as little as $8 per window for just outside as an example. It also depends on if it’s a slow time per year or not. Commercial window cleaning can be a lot cheaper since it’s typically done every 2-4 weeks instead of 3-6 months. It can be $2 per pane as an example for commercial work.
How far will you travel?
A: Normally our service area includes Valdosta, GA and surrounding areas within 30-45 miles. So, places like Hahira, GA. Nashville, GA. Adel, GA. Lake Park, GA. Dasher, GA. Quitman, GA. and almost anywhere within reason. It’s not out of the question to travel 2+ hours away but of course that will raise the prices accordingly.
Are you licensed and insured?
A: Yes, we actually have multiple business licenses for the county and city. We also have 1 million General liability, and business auto insurance on our work vehicles.
What can I expect with residential window cleaning?
A: After you accept the estimate that was emailed to you, we will send a reminder the day before, and also text reminders the day of the cleaning. It’s a great idea to move stuff away from your windows before we arrive and make sure we have access to the property (unlock doors, fences, and whatever that may slow us down). We’ll clean everything that’s safely accessible and skip areas that may have safety issues like steep roofs, too many wasps, and other various concerns. Once completed we will email an invoice to pay by cash, card, or check.
How often should my windows be cleaned?
A: For residential homes we recommend the exterior be cleaned every 3-4 months, and interior every 6-12 months as needed. Ideally, you would be on a quarterly exterior schedule and then just add interior as you see fit. This is a great way to lock in savings and put window cleaning on auto pilot instead of having one more thing to remember. If it’s a commercial building like a storefront or restaurant we recommend bi-weekly. Usually places with lots of foot traffic get dirty faster, and you want to clean it before people notice it doesn’t look professional. Some less visited buildings may only need quarterly cleanings
What other services do you offer besides window cleaning?
A: Right now, we offer gutter cleaning on regular 1-2 story buildings and homes. We don’t directly offer pressure washing or soft washing, but we have trusted businesses we recommend for that.
How much is gutter cleaning?
A: Anytime we need to get the ladder out and remove debris by hand it will have a $200 minimum and go up from there. If it’s a 1 story situation that’s nearby or added on to window cleaning it can be as low as $120. Everything depends on heights, and how much debris is in the gutters etc…
How does your 14-day rain guarantee work?
A: With residential window cleaning if a storm messes up the windows within 14 days of your last window cleaning, we will come clean them again for free. Rainwater itself is very pure and won’t mess up already clean windows so this would be a situation where heavy wind, pollen, or something else messed up a few windows.
What’s the best time of year to clean your windows?
A: Anytime they’re dirty it’s a great time to start! Most people choose Spring and Fall which makes these two our busiest times of year. Summer and winter you may find cheaper pricing and still notice they will stay clean for 3-6 months at a time. My personal favorite time of year for window cleaning is fall. Around October and November, the weather cools enough to open windows again, and we see a lot of clear weather days.
What are some reasons to clean your windows?
A: The number one reason to clean them is for a healthier environment. Some people ignore their windows for years and years until mold is growing, bugs are camping out, and who knows what is living on their windows. The other reasons to clean them include, helping the longevity of them, enjoyment, natural light, and some say it will help your overall mood.
Should I just clean my own windows to save money?
A: If you want to do that then go for it! If your home is a 1 story home with basic windows, then DIY may be the right option for you. We have a video on our YouTube page about this. To sum it up it basically comes down to what’s more important to you and safety. If you’d rather save a little money and spend the time, then I’d DIY it. If you’d rather save the time by spending a little money, then hiring a professional is the way to go. If your home is bigger with taller windows, we recommend hiring a professional to avoid safety concerns.
What’s included with a regular residential window cleaning?
A: Normally, you can expect clean frames, glass, and window screens as part of an inside/out cleaning. You can add on window tracks for an additional cost, and tricky windows like French panes, or storm windows may cost extra. Our goal of course is to keep it simple, so you’ll notice we don’t itemize every little thing and just give you one simple price for the whole house.
What cleaning solution do you use for window cleaning?
Dawn soap and water are the most common for window cleaning. We also use other professional soaps such as “Krush”, “Space Cowboy”, and “Crazy Larry”. It’s really not necessary to use things like vinegar or ammonia unless you need more than window cleaning. If your windows have paint, tape, or hard water spots then that’s considered more than just “cleaning”. The other method is using pure water. That means we take tap water and purify it all the way down to less than 10 ppm before gently spraying it on windows. Just like anything else in life it’s more about learning techniques, and what to do in certain situations than it is about a magical solution.
How long have you been in business?
The owner Chris has been a professional window cleaner since 2019 when he started another company in Brandon, FL called “Window Cleaners of Brandon”. In 2025 he sold that to a bigger company, moved to Hahira, GA and started “Simply Window Cleaning”.
